Kala DeHaan-Hill, owner of Pink Link Medical, has been in the healthcare field for more than 20 years. After graduating from UT Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas, she began her career as a Registered Nurse working in Labor and Delivery. Kala then earned her Master of Science Degree (MS) as a Women’s Health Certified Nurse Practitioner (WHCNP) from Texas Woman’s University and advanced her experince working for several medical groups.

But Kala was feeling restricted in taking care of her patients. She did not feel 15 minutes was enough time to fully listen and evaluate patient concerns. Kala felt traditional medicine concentrated more on “fixing” the symptoms instead of taking care of the underlying problem.

“Personally, I have battled several health issues; PCOS, hypothyroidism, Ehler Danlos Syndrome (connective tissue disease), POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia, etc.) I felt frustrated with a short 15 minute visit, being shuffled from one doctor to the next, and feeling like I wasn’t being heard. I wanted to figure out a way to change this for the practice members I treat.”

After receiving her advanced hormone certification, Kala started her own practice geared specifically towards hormone imbalances. This led to the opening of Pink Link Medical in 2014. Over the years, Kala realizes how a functional approach allows her to truly help her practice members heal by treating them holistically and empowering them to take control of their lives.

A beach bum at heart, Randa grew up in South Texas and loved the childhood days she spent in Corpus Christi, enjoying the small town feel and laid-back lifestyle of the Texas Riviera. After graduating from high school, she attended Texas A&M University, graduating in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications and a Minor in Marketing. Randa has over 20 years of corporate marketing experience. Most of her career was spent developing strategic brand marketing programs for Dr Pepper Snapple Group and 7-Eleven, Inc., where her focus was driving category and business growth for their priority beverage brands.

Outside of work, Randa enjoys taking yoga and fitness classes, spending time with her fiance’ (Patrick), friends and family. One of her favorite things to do is travel, whether a week-end get away or a week- long vacation, she is always ready to experience something new, especially in a warm, sunny place. Randa and Patrick enjoy annual vacations to Maui and Mexico – sitting on a beach, listening to the waves hit the shore is where she finds her happy place

Giving back to the community is important to her…carving out time to spend with children and animals has allowed her to volunteer and mentor at the Frisco Boys and Girls Club and spend time with the four- legged fur babies at Operation Kindness. “There’s no better feeling than when you have made a positive impact on the life of a child or homeless animal.”

Health Coaching & Career: I discovered the power of functional medicine in 2014 as a result of my own journey to overcome severe chronic health issues including IBS and SIBO. My personal journey coupled with my long standing dedication to holistic wellness, inspired me to shift gears, leaving behind my 9-year career in public education (I taught math to middle schoolers) and go back to school for functional medicine.

Today, I am both a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach and a Nationally Board Certified Health Coach. I firmly believe in a holistic approach to health, one that encompasses not just the physical, but also the mental, spiritual, and emotional aspects of well-being. My passion to make functional medicine more available and effective is the heart of my daily work.

About Hally: I am a proud Colorado native. Born in Boulder, I now live in Colorado Springs with my husband, family & rescue pup, Dell. I am an avid mountain biker, dog lover, white water rafter, skier, hiker and I am happiest outdoors. I was a national-level collegiate swimmer and soccer player. Joy is my normal, I laugh easily and my favorite food is absolutely dark chocolate.

Health Coaching & Career: I am a certified health coach that learned the value of a healthy lifestyle after my husband and I were suffering from infertility for almost 3 years. After going through the wellness program in 2015 and restoring the health of my body and the balance of my hormones, we were able to conceive and give birth naturally. Being amazed at what I had learned, I shifted my career and began coaching others to make the important shift to a healthy lifestyle that leads to the best possible health. I am a certified FDN Practitioner with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Texas A&M University.

About Madison: I live in Houston Texas and have been a proud Texan native all my life. I am a mother of two wild and crazy boys that like to keep me on my toes. I love being outside, in particular around a beach and/or water of any type.

Health Coaching & Career: Jayme is a National Board Certified Health and Wellness coach gaining her functional medicine coaching certification through the IFM based Functional Medicine Coaching Academy. Jayme’s unique approach guides individuals toward optimal health through lifestyle change in a way that is authentic to them. With a background in Birth work, Jayme is well versed in providing informative support and holding space even through life’s toughest moments.

About Jayme: Jayme is a mother of 3 who lives with her children, husband and 2 dogs in the Wet Mountains of Westcliffe, CO. She enjoys slow mountain town living, staying active, soaking up sunshine and all that nature has to offer.

Health Coach & Career: I am a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach who is passionate about sharing knowledge with others to reach their health and wellness goals. I have not only worked in Functional Medicine practices but have also implemented the core principles into my own personal wellness journey. My journey started after exhausting traditional medicine to address chronic neck and back pain when I began working with a health coach. The positive results I experienced sparked my passion to shift from the corporate world and become a health coach. I “walk the talk” and specialize in helping others help themselves. 

About Adrienne:

I am from New York but now reside in Charleston, SC and absolutely love it. My favorite thing to do is spend time with my husband, dogs and family but my ultimate joy is being Oma and spending time with my four grandchildren. Other passions include being outside, gardening, beach time and learning about wellness.

Health Coach & Career: I have been a nutritionist for over 12 years and my passion sparked after I started working with clients one on one and saw the impact food has on our health. I firmly believe knowledge is power loves educating on the ‘why’ behind the action. I have my Master’s in Nutrition Education from Northeastern University but more importantly I love cooking good food! The taste of food should never be compromised when it comes to health.

About Katie: I am a complete foodie and would rather spend my time in the kitchen or at a delicious restaurant than anywhere else. I’m married to an amazing man, Eric, and have two crazy kiddos, Benjamin and Brooklyn. After living in 6 different states, I currently reside in beautiful Arizona.

Health Coach & Career  I am a 2011 Graduate of Institute for Integrative Nutrition. 2019 Graduate of Functional Medicine Coaching Academy. I worked for two Functional Medicine Practices over the span of 10 years. I am a thyroid cancer survivor, After the birth of my son at 34 , my body went through very dramatic hormonal changes. I did not want to take traditional medication to manage these changes. So I began a deep dive in understanding how my body needed to get  balance again. Working with my  local naturopath and  acupuncturist  and learning about food sensitivities and committed stress management and solid supplementation my  body became balanced.  So I left my  corporate job  and went back to school for health coaching. Karen is passionate about serving others and supporting them in unlocking their fullest potential and optimal health.

About Karen:  Resides in Port Jefferson N.Y. Wife of 30 years to Phil, Mom to Connor and 4 labs, Adina, Rosko, Louise and Parker.  During her free time: loves to beach camp, paddle-board, attend live music and comedy  venues, cooking and gardening.
